Die Another Day R1 on 6/3

According to the main DVDFile pages, MGM will bow Die Another Day on June 3 in seperate anamorphic widescreen and slice-and-dice versions for $29.95 apiece. No specs have been released as of yet, but I'm personally expect something very simmilar to the Region 2 specs recently released. We already know we'll be missing the 53-minute Region 2 exclusive "From Script to Screen" doccumentary, which is a real shame, but hopefully there will be enough other quality extras to make this a really great DVD extras-wise. As my first James Bond, I'll definitly be picking this up, and like all my other discs it will hold a very special place in my DVD collection.

Ew. I think if I ever break down and buy this, I'll be sticking to the R2 version. Thank you region-free player!

OK region 1 cover sucks but my big question is When will the next Bond box set be coming out? When they announced the first box set different sites had different speculations. Some said one box set a year & I know that at least one place I read that they wanted all 3 box sets rereleased by the time Die Another Day came out (but that sure isn't going to happen). Anybody have any info on when?

At least it's semi-reflective of the theatrical poster. I have to admit though if they want to put pics of Brosman and Berry on it the poster's layout is much more attractive to look at.

The coverart is not very good. I like the blue though. At least that will be nice to look at. I'll definitely add this one to my collection. I loved this movie.

The movie was a step up since the last few crappers that followed after the amazing 'Goldeneye'. But this movie wasnt god enough for a second viewing.
I'll take my 'Goldfinger' anyday of the week. But I will but it for more Halle Berry...

I heard that the cover art is going to be reversible. It'll have the picture showed in this thread as one side, and the other side will match the other 19 Bonds cases.

I heard that too, Vonner. Although it seems unlikely a studio would produce two artworks just so fans can be happy, it would be cool. I'm not sure which side I'd keep the cover on because I don't own any of the other 19 Bonds so it wouldn't really matter matching it up with them, just whichever art is better. Then again the other art is most likely better than that anyway. I'll be interested to see the alternate art, though.

I heard that as well...at least the Region 2 cover will be reversable so it will match the other 19 films and slot seamlessly into my James Bond Monsterbox tin. YAY for Region 2 packaging!

ok, those specs sound amazing except.............

where are the deleted scenes? Well, deleted scene. As I am sure many of you are aware, the United States and Worldwide releases were diffrent runtimes because of one scene. The sex scene between Berry and Brosnan was cut down for the United States. My question is, will this dvd be the transfer of the worldwide print or the US print? If is it the US print, then why isn't this scene atleast included as a deleted scene?

Is this gonna contain both WS and FS on the first disc?

Or are they dropping the Script To Screen doc on disc two to put the FS version on?

All the same, the movie runs over two hours, meaning compression artefacts...

Also, that cover is S**T and I think it's a real shame the doc is being dropped.

Couldn't they put out seperate WS and FS versions??

They are puting out seperate wide and fullscreen releases. The From Script to Screen doccumentary was announced as a Region 2 exclusive; thus, it won't be on the R1 DVD. I think it's a shame, since I really would have loved to see it, but there ya go.

However, those specs are exellent as they are. I'll have a lot to look forward to on June 3. Between this one and Warner's The Animatrix, it will be a very good day for my DVD collection.

I don't know, but I've decided to pass on DAD and wait for the next box set release. I saw DAD twice in the theater, so I'll hold for now. I bought the last vol. 1 and I don't want to double dip on DAD if/when it comes out in a box set.

In Korea, DAD has been released with a silver slipcase similar to the first TND Special Edition. Oh yeah, they also have a Connery only set (up to DAF).

oh well, it'll be dvdcoverart.com for me then. Or maybe I'll boycott buying this DVD... that'll send them a powerful message.
