Prequels that Play Better Watched First?

I was thinking of how if somebody were to watch Red Dragon before Silence of the Lambs a lot of the scares in Silence of the Lambs and the general creepiness of Hannibal wouldn't work, because it depended on you not really knowing about him and how he 'worked'.

Just like how some of Red Dragon's creepiness depended on you already knowing what to expect from Lector.

And I don't really think that somebody will be able to watch Star Wars in order without it not making as much sense. There are too many things in the prequels that depend on you understanding the ominous foreshadowing, and too many things in the original trilogy that count on you not knowing things about the characters that the prequel gives you info on.

So, I was wondering this:

Can anybody think of a prequel that was filmed after the other films that actually does work better watched first?

Also, just listing other prequels would be interesting too... how many have there been?

I think the Star Wars films work fine in order. I just showed them to a friend who had never seen one before, and we watched them in Episode order. He really enjoyed it. He actually got a bit choked up at the end when Vader/Anakin died. That was rather funny.

I don't think there would be any point in watching Temple of Doom before Raiders. There's actually a joke in ToD that depends on having seen Raiders.

Maybe The Scorpion King before the Mummy movies. That would probably not affect any enjoyment of those movies, even though it's not much of a prequel.
