This is great news! I can't wait for this dvd. Confessions was one of my favorite movies of the past year. Sam Rockwell owned in this film. I read an interview with Clooney that said there will be some good extras on the disk. I'm sure there will be a commentary and I believe he said there was a good bit of deleted scenes.

Well here's a tasty little tidbit...

From the 'File:

Quote:
Rounding out today's update is a street date change from Buena Vista Home Entertainment. To give the George Clooney-directed biopic Confessions of a Dangerous Mindanother shot with audiences, Miramax will re-release the film in theaters this summer, and has bumped the original July street date to this September. No word on an exact date or specs, but stay tuned...
Haven't seen this yet, but hopefully I can catch it over the summer.

Damn this sucks. I was waiting for this dvd since I saw the film back in January. MrTony take the time and check out this film,it's really good. If it comes back to the local theaters here, I'll check it out again. I think Miramax should just go ahead and bring the film out on DVD it will get a bigger audience there.

They should just do what they are doing now with Spirited Away. Release it a few weeks beofre a dvd release and everyone is happy. But i guess having an Oscar to its name is a bit different.

That news item says that the release date is Sept 9... not too far away really, so that's good. I look forward to the Clooney commentary. Looks like a nice edition.
