most inconsistent aspect ratio

If this didn't hurt so much, it'd be funny.

I just got the Cary Grant Collector's pack. 2 movies in one box, both done by the same company. I had some trepidation here, because although both movies are 2.35:1, the box lists them both as 1.85:1.

So, I put in That Touch of Mink. I immediately notice that it's matted far beyond 1.85, it's 2.35. I'm ecstatic. I quickly surf through the movie.

Then I put in Father Goose. To my dismay I immediately notice that not only is it not 2.35, it's not even 1.85. It looks more like 1.66! Then the titles come on, it switches to 2.35, and after the titles switches back to 1.66. Horror!

What the !@#$ is this? The same company, in the same box set, mislabels both dvds and presents one in the correct aspect ratio and butchers the other one horribly. I don't get it.
