Tragedy Strikes! Help Needed for Army of Darkness disc

I was attaching another DVD shelf to my stackable holders to accomodate this weeks purchases when tragedy struck. I had to tilt the shelves to get them to fit and like a dumbass didn't remove my DVD's from the shelf 1st. My Army of Darkness SE hit the floor, popped open, and my director's cut disc is now covered in hair and smears.

What do you guys use to clean your disc's? I tried cloth but it did a poor job of hair removal.

Also a snapper hit the floor as well, but no damage (I still hate 'em though).

Thanks

You could try a mild detergent and warm water.

The toothpaste thing was for CDs, but I imagine it might work on DVDs too.

If you are just trying to remove hair, you could also try some scotch tape.

Hope one of these works for you.

I'd definatly use water to suspend any particulates that may be on the disc and then use something like liquid hand soap. Just use your clean fingers to lightly scrub the surface. When you rinse it off the hair should come off too.

Dry it with a lint free cloth by lightly dabbing the surface.
