This is without a doubt one of the worst films I have ever seen. That said, I cannot wait to own this DVD. Why? Because it's so bad that it goes beyond "so bad it's good" territory to so bad it's brilliant.

No way!!!

I've wanted to see this one for quite a while, but the local video joints didn't seem to carry the VHS... come to think of it, I don't think their chances of carrying the DVD will be any better, though... :p

But there's no way I'm actually going to shell out more than 5 dollars for this without seeing it first... I just want to see how such a disaster could be considered one of the worst films of all time, yet still be a good movie.

I've heard a lot about It's Pat: The Movie, but I've never seen it. Some people I know swear by its kitsch appeal, some also say it's bloody awful--I'll definitely rent the DVD and decide for myself.

Doesn't Kid in the Hall Dave Foley appear as Pat's love interest?

I saw it on TV a couple of times maybe 4 years ago. I might buy it since it's so cheap. I'm definitely in the mood to see it right now - and I'd buy it if it was available. Who knows if I'll be as interested way in September.

retroboy: Yeah Dave Foley is in it. Funny stuff.

Then I shall repeat my previous suggestion.

It's Pat is the ultimate car wreck of a movie. It seems to be intentionally irritating, and trying extremely hard not to be funny. It's quite an accomplishment and I commend the filmmakers for slipping that by the producers who obviously had no idea.

I've seen it twice, and I recommend the same for everyone else. The first time I suggest having something for your jaw to rest on, as it will be on the floor for the entire 77 minutes. The next time, take a break around the naked Ween sequence to ponder its meaning. Invite some friends over to discuss the deeper aspects of androgeny and its relationship to your life. Then I suggest syncing the movie up to the song "Detachable Penis" which should play perfectly between dialogue gaps.
