Quest for Fire vs. Clan of the Cave Bear - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

Yea, I bought Quest For Fire last week blind and finally got around to watching it. I liked it alot. Now I kinda want to see Clan of the Cave Bear, which for $4.80 @ Deep Discount DVD I'd have no problem buying blind.

The only problem is, Clan seems to me like it's just a more glossyer Hollywoodized cash in on Quest. I fear that most of the things I liked in Quest will be gone from Clan. Can anyone recomend it?

Clan is not a glossy Hollywoodized cash in of Quest for Fire as it is based on a book of the same name. I believe the book it is based on was actually one in a series of books.

Both movies (in my opinion) are totally different so a comparision is difficult. I like both movies and would recommend them both (however I have seen neither ones DVDs so I cannot offer any opinion on the DVD itself).

Clan Of The Cave Bear does not hold a candle to Quest For Fire. In fact, I think it is one of the worst films ever made. This is just my opinion. Read the book instead.
