Official US / CAN DVD Differences Thread

I recently became aware of the fact that sometimes Canadian DVDs have more special features than US ones and are still R1.

What are some DVDs that this happens with?

The ones that I know of are...
The Pianist (https://www.cnl.com/describe.html?Hi...40Q&item=30534)
Ginger Snaps (https://www.cnl.com/describe.html?Hi...40C&item=23020)
Brotherhood of the Wolf (on the Can 3 disc, does the commentary have English subtitles?) (https://www.cnl.com/describe.html?Hi...40P&item=27131)

Also, if you can, put in links to a site that lists the special features.

I know of a few, off the top of my head I can only think of Trainspotting. Also, we get all New Line movies in keep cases, although I think New Line now uses keep cases in the US.

eXistenZ's American DVD has no extras. The Canadian version is loaded (3 commentaries!). That's all I can think of.

This topic usually crops up when a Canadian release differs substantially from the American counterpart.

That was the last one. There's a whole bunch. Just search.

The canadian Good Will Hunting disc dropped 6 of the TV Spots, and included a french Theatrical Trailer, and an additional deleted scene (more of an outtake) of Robin Williams doing a Jack Nicholson impression on the set during his lunch-date scene with Stellan.

Also, the canadian Beast Wars (Transformers) discs are 7 episodes per disc (as opposed to 6 per disc in the US), and have 3 volumes (as opposed to the 2 released here). They also have a french audio track.

Brotherhood Of The Wolf. The special edition now makes me a regular in browsing the Canadian dvd sites. The Canadian edition of this movie is the absolute bomb. It completely shames the US release of it.

Yes, Chaddoli, everything on the 3-disc set has english subtitles. Really worth it too. And it has 2 90 minute documentaries that's about as in-depth as you can get.

The commentaries do not have subtitles, as least as far as I was able to tell. I just put the disc in, and the English subtitles are for the movie only.

they skipped the sound effects only track

GIANT was released for a very limited time a couple of years ago by Warner Bros. Canada (very expensive on Ebay).

PULP FICTION (the original release) had deleted scenes introduced by Tarantino, which wasn't available on the US release.
