Must buy R2 Japanese DVD's ??
My copy of Princess Mononoke arrived last week with two of the 3 discs loose in it's case, all scratched up on the data side, so I'm having to return it to CDJapan.co.jp for an exchange.
Anyway, they're adding the postage total to my account as credit, so I guess I'd better pick something to be shipped along with Mononoke. Any other must have anime (or otherwise) titles that I should consider picking up? Anybody reccomend the 2 disc My Neightbour Totoro? (The only other 'pre-Spirited Away' Ghibli film that caught my attention) thanks |

Really? I've NEVER had any problems with CDJapan, and I've been ordering from them for years and years.
Anyway, I suggest if you don't want to wait For Synapse s R1 disc (And everyone knows how long it takes Synapse Films to release anything...) Wild Zero has english subtitles! Whee! (that is if you know what it even is...) |

I bought 'Lake Placid' in R2 Japan from CDJapan also..
Compared to the R1 U.S. edition, this one is in widescreen 2.35:1 anamorphic AND DTS!! There are a few more actor's interviews and behind the scenes from the movie, the only thing is that the menus are all in Japanese, but easy to naviguate through none the less. Plus it still is NTSC. It cost me about $30, I didn't even bother keeping the R1 version after watching the Japanese edition. |
