DVD cases that fit the theme of the movie/TV series

For example:
  • The Evil Dead has the book of the dead for an outer case
  • Speed Racer has a rubber-tire slip cover
  • Terminator 2: Judgment Day used to have a metal slip cover
  • The Wicker Man has a wooden outer case.
What other DVDs have these kind of cases?

The Coffin Joe box set comes in a GIANT coffin-shaped cardboard box. I've been toying with the idea of buying it blind JUST because the coffin box is badass

Same here, everytime I'm in Best Buy I pick it up and look at it thinking "even if the movies suck this badass box would look great sitting by my collection", definatley an awesome box.

The Repo Man tin that's a lisence plate, though I wouldn't consider all Anchor Bay tins. And didn't they also put out a movie cased in what was like a birth controll pill case?
Anyways there's also ET where the disk is the moon and the case is see through.
And how about thiss puppy I want, Sharpe's Collection Boxed Set

The box for the Mystery Science Theater Collection Volume 3 has a fold out of the "doors" in the sequence to the theater-I'll take pics sometime later so you can see-it's really friggin' cool!

I THINK you're talking about the release of 'candy' which is in a circular candy tin case. Otherwise my mind is drawing a complete blank.

Is that the same Sharpe series that takes place during the Napoleonic wars, and stars Sean Bean? If so, I'd love to have that collection!

You bet! I've only been able to find it at DeepDiscountDVD http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=BFD030243 As much of a bargain it is at $178.19 for 15 movies, it's way out of my price range.

How about Bad Taste, with the "flip off" finger gestures that change from American 1-finger version to British 2-finger version? Does that count?

BASIC INSTINCT with the clear blue "ice block" with the ice pick pen inside it was excellent looking.

TOTAL RECALL in the circular tin that looks like Mars fits the movie well, but is not a convenient design.

The upcoming Criterion set THE ADVENTURES OF ANTOINE DOINEL has a brilliant design, with each film in a cover that depicts the type of clothing that the character would wear at that age.

Some of the other ones that I can think of have already been mentioned (ET, Repo Man, Evil Dead, T2).

For that matter I guess you could include the entire Baz Luhrmann's Red Curtain Trilogy (Strictly Ballroom / Romeo + Juliet / Moulin Rouge), that box seems to fit the style of the films very well.
