A four year wait has ended for me, as I've finally seen Alexander "Election" Payne's debut feature:
 ... and without delving into any lengthy details, I'll just do a little campaining for this brilliant low-key & budget satire. Payne is, along with Todd Solondz, unique in capturing unkempt authentic everyday visuals and an excellent yet uncommonly unobtrusive filmmaker... If you haven't allready seen it, go do it now. Dern is simply breathtaking, and Burt Reynolds wasn't reborn in Boogie Nights but Citizen Ruth!... sadly not too many noticed until, hopefully, now.
