Don Knotts Comedies

According to the Universal Website the Don Knotts comedy THE LOVE GOD>? is coming on 9/2. If they are releasing that title I would imagine SHAKIEST GUN..., GHOST & MR CHICKEN and RELUCTANT ASTRONAUT will follow on the same day. Stay Tuned....

Limpet looks great, though is only worth it if you know what you're getting, if its a blind buy.

It's a fun picture. Here's what I thought of it at DVDToons

Also, although the first one isn't out, Disney put out "The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again" and "Gus" recently as part of their "Don Knotts Collection".

Not sure about Gus, as I didn't buy it, but Dumpling is definitely open matte, so you can zoom in on a widescreen display amd get the theatrical framing.

Mr Limpet has both fullframe open matte and anamorphic widescreen transfers, by the way.

That's what I said:

No-where did I say that these two were Universal. Anyway, I was just trying to be helpful. You brought up the Don Knotts films on DVD, then Quisp mentioned Limpet. I only mentioned the DISNEY titles in case these had gone un-noticed by anyone with an interest in Don Knotts' other films.

Won't bother next time.
