Thanx

It's a short film that Mason directed. The title is "Doppleherz". I believe that means double heart in German. It is the only thing on the DVD. I haven't watched it yet, but I think it is about 30 minutes long. I'll post comments later tonight after I see it. By the way, it is included with all of the cds in the initial pressing. I am not sure how many copies that will be.

Sound's good! How is the CD? Anyone know? I was thinking of getting it. I know it's like $8.99 at Best Buy and Target! Does any one know how much it is at Circut City? Thanks!

i'm not too big on the new single -- 'mobscene' -- but i'm all over 'the new shit' -- which i think is probably the next single.

The CD is really excellent.... the DVD is... interesting. It's definitely a nice 'bonus' though. The little movie is a tad dull. He's trying a little too hard to be Lynchesque, or something. There's no music really... just a background beat.... him reciting some (at times) interesting, yet repetitive poetry/prose.... over some sometimes wild, sometimes boring footage. He's trying to be arty & scary at the same time. I like his actual music videos 100x better. I wish the mOBSCENE video had been on it....

I'll second what PDJennings said. I just finished watching it too. I won't go into specifics because i don't want to spoil it for others. The spoken word was interesting at times and clever. The short film did seem rather repetitive. It did get a nice rhythym going. As PD said, the cd is excellent. The DVD is a nice little bonus, but it isn't thrilling. I can elaborate, but I was trying to keep spoilers to a minimum.

I sorta feel the same way...like the beginning had me really interested and i thought it was really cool...but then midway through i sort of lost interest because of the repetitivness...i mean how many times can one apply black makeup to one's face?

I found it odd how 'Doppelherz' was censored (visually, not in terms of audio) in those parts that contained nudity (although I'm not sure if it was in fact nudity or just costumes made to give that appearance).

Since when does Manson censor his own work? And especially on something accompanying a CD with an 'explicit content' warning on the packaging. Weird..

As for the tracks themselves, I've only listened about halfway through the album so far, but 'This is the New Shit' and 'Use Your Fist And Not Your Mouth' are my favorite tracks so far. Definitely a great album.

I think he probably intended it to be that way as I really don't see him allowing his work to be cut. He went with another company to release his last DVD for that reason, Nothing/Interscope wouldn't touch it. Anyway, has anyone read the new Spin magazine? He filmed himself having sex with conjoined twins :X

One of the "twins" is Dita Von Tweese (sp?) his girlfriend and the other is pornstar Aria Giovani.

I actually dont think it was censored, it was just part of the costume that bonded them.

If this is his first attempt at directing something, than I think he did a good job, it could've kept the same tempo throughout the film, but what are you gonna do huh?
