Comedian DVD

i got comedian through netflix and thought it was OK. are the special features any good? like has anyone listened to teh commentary with seinfeld and stuff? if it's not good i'll mail it back and not waste my time.

was it just me or did you want to beat that one comedian orny adams over the head with a baseball bat? he was so cocky and had the biggest attitude. he wasn't even THAT funny!!!

i loved when jerry kept shaking his head at the dumb things he was saying

Comedian - I liked it as much as when I saw it last fall and the supplements are really good.
I plan on renting it soon...
Is it such a task to just watch some of the Special Features yourself out of curiosity rather than sit and wait for folks to reply as to whether they liked them? I don't imagine they are so exhaustive that you'll feel you've wasted too much of your time checking them out
It's part of the fun of bouns features... watch them and be entertained... or dissapointed.. or avoid them if it's obvious EPK fluff.

From the interview with Jerry, it sounds like the features on this would be interesting - a Jiminy Glick interview, clips from when Jerry was up-and-rising, doing his act on Letterman.

The commentary with Seinfeld and Colin Quinn was pretty funny at times, but there's a lot of describing what's on the screen and a lot of "This is a great shot" type stuff. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But I don't consider it a waste of time by any means. The other commentary I haven't listened to yet.

The Glick interviews were very funny and the Letterman appearances were also pretty cool to see.

On a personal note, I was a member of the audience at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland when they filmed this movie (appears at the end of the film). Seinfeld put on a great show, I'll never forget it. As soon as he walked on stage the crowd just went wild, everybody stood up and everything and as soon as the audience stopped clapping and sat down he goes "Why shouldn't I come to Oakland!..." I don't know, I just thought that was pretty cool.

Well I guess Marq already quoted my thoughts on this one so you know I like it.

drudo-182, I'd recommend Comedian over 25th Hour any day of the week.

You serious dude. 25th Hour is a cinematic masterpiece. Plus, I had/have an obsession with Spike Lee and his "joints".
Where can I get it cheaper online. That's whats holding me back too...

I've liked most of Spike Lee's films, but I thought 25th Hour was absolute garbage. Spike Lee tried way too hard to make his point, in my opinion. But, hey, if you liked it, more power to you.

I did a price search at dvdpricesearch.com and found that the cheapest you'll get Comedian is $19.89 with shipping. Not really worth the hassle when you can get it at most stores for $19.99. Then again, you can save taxes online.

I'm gonna buy this soon. I liked the movie, but I'll buy it more for the extras (something I rarely do), because I can actually see me watching the Seinfeld/Quinn commentary and re-watching the Glick and Letterman bits.

Comedian really was great. If your a fan then it is worth the price to get an insider look.

off topic;
25th Hour was decent but much too forced. I thought the problems had more to do with the screen play than the directing though.
