T2: already anamorphic!

A minor issue with the following quote:

"However, I talked with Artisan about the upcoming Terminator 2: Judgment Day special edition, and they assured me it will indeed be anamorphic. So, if this holds true, it would seem to invalidate to a degree that Lightstorm is solely responsible for discs like the first Terminator, Strange Days, True Lies, Titanic and the upcoming The Abyss not being anamorphic. Since ALIENS and now T2 will be anamorphic, it seems Lightstorm and Mr. Cameron really need to decide just what they do support and do not when it comes to DVD transfers."

Not sure if you guys realized this, but the existing Terminator 2 DVD from Live Entertainment is already an anamorphic transfer. The back of the case even says "Widescreen 2.35 Anamorphic" and "Enhanced for 16x9." I double-checked it just a minute ago, and it is indeed anamorphic (and GORGEOUS). So what new features will this "special edition" be bringing to the table? The existing DVD looks and sounds INCREDIBLE already.

Since the new disc will also feature the full-length special edition cut, a new anamorphic transfer had to be made of that version, as well (at least of the bonus footage, which will be utilized through the seamless branching feature). If they stayed true to form, Lightstorm could have nixed that idea but, thankfully, didn't.
