Favorite Police Academy movie?

I've always liked 3 the best, I guess because it was the one that I saw first (on cable back in about 1987) I actually like all 7 yes even Mission to Moscow, any how I'd rank them:

1. PA 3 , the lack of Harris kept it from being even better

2. PA- I find the Blue Oyster Bar scene to be one of the funnies
parts in the series

3. PA 2- Zed is my favorite character

4. PA4- the last of the really good ones,

5. PA5- no Mahoney hurt but still eneough laughs

6. PA Mission To Moscow- I actually like it more than part 6

7. PA6- just not funny enough overall

The first Police Academy was obviously the best. I'm pretty sure it was the only R-rated film in the series and that makes a difference.

The Miami (#6) one is the brilliance.

My uncle owned it for some reason and I loved watching it multiple times. A fun guilty pleasure, but without the guilty part.
Other early ones were fun too, but the Miami one is brilliant stupidity.

I love the PA movies.. I was probably the only person to see all 7 originally in the theater. First one is by far the funniest, but Citizens on Patrol and Assignment Miami Beach are great too.

I can't wait for them to finally arrive on DVD!

People laugh at me but I gotta tell you if anybody actually sat and watched the original versions (not edited for Comedy Central) of PA 3&4 there are some very funny moments.
