Saving Private Ryan: Omaha Beach scene
I have a question about Saving Private Ryan. I've noticed on my disc that starting from the a little before Tom Hanks yells for the bangalores

No, the effect you see is intentional. I believe that the effect was used to create a greater sence of realism and documentery style. If you look carefully, you will also see it in the other battle scenes. Most noteabely in the attack on the radar station and the end scene. pretty cooleffect tho imho.

I beleive that there is a series of photographs taken during the omaha beach invasion that were damaged somehow. The finnished product contained the streaks.
SPR used the effect. Don't ask me why. ------------------ Istagi *Feather Head* Moderator of the Now Playing Forum DDS-351 |
