Beware the metal T2 Tin....

....alright, so I just got home and I open up my new T2 Extreme Edition. The metal tin is very cool looking, but unfortunately the actual DVD case is slid in there VERY tight, and as I push to slid it out, the case snags and drags along the 'spine' of the DVD case, stripping the plastic. Now, it hasn't completely torn it yet, but after a few more insertions / removals, it definately will...I guess I'm gonna have to try to stretch the tin a bit or something.

Just and FYI...and lemme know if anyone has this problem.

Agalloch

NOTE: A semi-temporary solution is to keep the DVD in the tin backwards...with the back of the case facing front so the spine is on the opposite side.

Heh, just posted the problem in the thread above. It's messing with the corners of the case but so far it hasn't screwed up the spine although I'm sure it will.

wowzers... thanks for the heads up. I saw it at my local BJ's last night for a pretty good price and was going to buy it this week. Will likely buy it anyway, but I'll definitely be gentle with it.

The same thing happened to me.

The bottom 1/4" of the plastic on the case spine is torn because of the metal case. I'll be keeping mine out of the metal tin.

At first I was pretty upset...but at this point I really don't care...I still have the Ultimate Edition, and the tin itself is awesome looking, so if the plastic eventually rips off entirely and the paper lining comes off and I just have to stick a black case in the tin, that's cool, cause I'll just consider the tin the cover anyways.
