The Different Versions of T2 (Movie, not DVDS)

All right so I know what the Theathrical version is. But what is the Special Edition? Is it the one with the ending that has Sarah Conner as the old woman? On the new Extreme Edition it says "Special Edition version containg 16 minutes of additional scenes never before seen in theaters!" Is this the same version as the one I just mentioned? So in total how many different versions of the film are available, what's different about them, and what are they called?

Hopefully someone can clear some of this up for me.

The three versions are as follows:

Theatrical

Special edition: Has the original, leave it open for another sequel, ending, not the sara conner as an old woman ending

Extended Special Edition: has one extra scene (T1000 searching john connors room) and the alternate old sara conner ending.

3 versions that I know of, hope this helps

Thanks for the info Mich!

Does the Directors cut fall into one of those 3?

I believe Cameron preffers the SE, but the commentary will undoubtedly answer that for sure... I'll listen to it after South Park Season 2 is tapped out...

PS I preffer the SE, and I like the T-1000 scene in the extended SE, but not the alternate ending...
