Assuming it's real, wow!

that is NOT a painted background. They do have mountains in Europe...

when this movie was made, it was very hard to mask people moving - I think Temple of Doom was one of the first movies that started doing that.

I don't believe that it was a painted background. I am pretty sure that it was a real location shoot, but will have to check my DVD again.

That is a very cool screenshot, but from the title of the thread i thought it was going to be a cool screencapture contest.

If you get a chance, you HAVE to visit Switzerland. I was there briefly and it is indeed that beautiful (in places).

This film has the most beautiful imagery I've ever seen in a film, period.

Most, if not all, software DVD players on a computer have a screen-capture feature in them. I know that in PowerDVD if you press the C button while a film is playing, it will capture that frame which is on screen and put it into your pre-defined capture folder. That's how I grab screen-captures. I think WinDVD and the other software players have a similar feature which you should be able to find in the options/configurations menu.

Not relly a screen shot (too lazy ) but this has to be the most beautiful scene I have ever seen, the music that plays also makes it stick out:

Yes, you do have to love it. One of my favorite films of all-time, despite the fact that they changed so much from the true story.

When I frst saw that pic I though it was from A Bridge Too Far, but the 101st was in that too so it makes sense.

P.S. If/When you finally see Band of Brothers, stick with it through the frist few Training episodes, it gets much better.

P.P.S. An actual combat photo of the campaign depicted in A Bridge Too Far (Market Garden)

WinDVD 5 is a free download trial version (no idea when/if it expires) that will let you take captures.

Here's a few I grabbed using it last night.
