Matrix Reloaded, T3, The Hulk and probably 2 Fast 2 Furious as not seen it and own the first. Hard to pick just one as I know I'll buy most.

I cannot believe X2 is not on this list... and it's my pick as well (despite close competition).

X2 is my most anticipated of the recent "big" movies, but I'll definitely buy Matrix Reloaded and Hulk as well.

I would have voted for Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle or maybe X2 if they had been available in the poll. If I really like Pirates, I may get the DVD, but I don't plan on buying any of the others. Hulk would have no replay for me. T3 looks weak. Nemo didn't seem too replayable for me. I could care less about 2 Fast 2 Furious. I don't think that I would enjoy seeing Matrix again. LXG and Tomb Raider look boring.

I would have voted for Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle if it were listed. I will also buy The Matrix Reloaded as I enjoyed it a great deal as well.
Most of the others I have no interest in ever seeing, in the theatre or on DVD, though maybe I'd rent The Hulk. And I saw Bruce Almighty and found it quite shitty.

I picked LXG, even though I haven't seen it, its the only movie of the above that hasn't made me want to vomit.

Marq,

what the hell is up with you and Charlie's Angels? I thought the first one was lots of fun, but this one really lost it except for a few scenes (CSI spoof was cool, and strip club bit was visually nice). I felt it largely failed.

Of the Blockbusters I've seen so far, The Matrix Reloaded delivered the best. Although T3 and 28 Days Later (not really a BB, but still a major summer release) are close behind. I didn't care for Hulk, X:2 , 2 Fast 2 Furious or the terrible Bruce Almighty.

I'll be buying The Matrix: Reloaded and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines for sure.

None of those, really. Maybe Hulk.... can't wait for X:2 or 28 Days Later, though.... Bruce Almight was good, but I don't know if I'd buy it right away.

My vote would have been cast for Bad Boys II given the choice.

Heh. I know it seems odd, but I make no excuses. It's true that it doesn't exactly mesh with my usual tastes of detesting most blockbusters and/or action movies, but the sequel, as well as the first, had me smiling throughout for some reason. Just pure fun I guess.
28 Days Later did indeed rule too, though hardly a blockbuster as you admitted.

Mmmm... Seasons are pretty interchangeable down here, but I was under the impression that summer started with the first big blockbuster...

Anyway, put me down for Hulk then, as sad as that is...

Well, it's not like I don't own a tonne of guilty pleasures. I'm curious about the rumoured "sexier" DVD though.

LOL sorry I didn't put Charlies Angles: Full Throttle on there, I skipped it because it is int eh process of flopping, it had a weak opening weekend and even a weaker second week. But yeah, I'll def buy the "sexier" DVD. I got the first one for Bill Murray and Tom Green, Im gettin this one for Demi Moore and her Ferrari! And yeah X2 isn't summer, but of course i am buying that one, thats liek the second best comic book movie ever! Behind Spider-Man of course =)

Charlie's Angels would have had my vote as well, as would have X2, which, I'm sorry is a summer movie. Memorial Day may have traditionally been the start of the summer movie season, but since 1999 with The Mummy opening early in May and Spider-Man opening last year in the first week of May, the start of the summer movie season has now moved up.

Of the choices, I went with Pirates of the Caribbean, which I'll be seeing tomorrow. Looks like a lot of fun.

So if a movie doesn't make over $100 million within three weeks and it doesn't immediately earn back its budget, it shouldn't be considered worth owning? Damn.... I guess I'll be trading off about 95% of my collection then.

Matrix Reloaded is my #1 pick for DVD. I thought it wa sok when i saw it and then i thought about the movie and it just had so many layers to take in. Sadly tonight was the last night for it at my theater. I never got to see it in DTS (only theater that plays in DTS) Anyways i do stop and watch the movie all the time. But #2 would have to be Finding Nemo no doubt.

Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde! hell yes...

I haven't seen it yet but the first one is so stupid, happy, bright, obvious, and adorable I can't help but love it. I'm guessing the sequel is more of the same, which can't be bad.

also haven't seen Charlie's Angels but enjoyed the first one a bunch so I'd probably like it.

Is typing "u" rather than "you" that much of a time saver .

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was half-joking anyway (hence the ever-wacky 3-eyed smile). Nowhere did I read "its not a blockbuster hit" in your post. Further, I always associated the term "blockbuster" with a big-budget Hollywood (usually summer) movie, not so much based on its grossing. Thus, while My Big Fat Greek Wedding earned shitloads of money, I wouldn't call it a "blockbuster"; but Tomb Raider 2 might tank to all hell, but I'd still qualify it as a "blockbuster" based on the kind of production it is.

Meh, its all semantics. I just assumed that despite your interest in buying it, you implied that since it didn't earn all its money back in three weeks domestically people could care less about owning it for this reason. I misunderstood. Sorry about that.
