Omega Man or Soylent Green are they out

Has anybody seen these 2 DVDs in store yet. I have looked all over town and no one seems to have them?

I picked up Soylent Green on Tuesday really nice transfer and one of the better 70's Sci-Fi schlock

Best Buy had neither

Circut City had Soylent, 2 copies

pretty good film, and ahead of its time

I didn't see either title at Best Buy OR at Costco.

Funny what choices they make -- found The Thing (FAW) and House of Wax just fine...

I picked up Soylent Green at Best Buy here in Portland. Had to get Omega Man at the Fred Meyer (Kroger's.)

I can't resist some of the 70s sci-fi (Logan's Run, Silent Running, POTA, etc). Soylent green is no exception.

I can't wait till I get some money so I can pick them up. Omega Man will be blind (I love the Richard Matheson story 'I Am Legend' that it's based on, though), but I love Soylent Green. That's been on my "Where the hell is it??" list for nearly the last five years..

Don't know if you've seen this or not but The Last Man On Earth with Vincent Price follows Matheson's story more closely. I picked it up on a budget double DVD along with House on Haunted Hill.

Not the greatest looking transfer but I was surprised as hell to see it on DVD.

Beaverton's where I got mine. You have to show up early there on Tuesdays because they stock some good stuff but only in very small batches. There were a grand total of two copies of Soylent Green when I got mine at 10:00am.

I knew there was an earlier Vincent Price adaptation, but I didn't know what the title was, or if it was available on DVD. I'm still hoping somebody will get off their ass and make a good new adaptation of it, as long as it's not Schwarzenegger (not that I have a problem with him, but he's not right for the part).

Yep, I actually found those at Costco, same price as Best Buy.

The "House of Wax" transfer and a/v did not disappoint, I watched it Wednesday -- and both covers are sweeeet. I'm sure I'll get to see "The Thing" soon.

Plus HoW has "Horrors of the Wax Museum" as an extra. I call that a two for one...

I still have not been able to find these in town. So I ordered them both from DDDVD. I did pick up The Thing From Another World and it looks great.

I walk into the local Best Buy on th day Omega man was released and ask if they had it in, the dork went to his computer and looked it up and said, "This DVD was released in 2001 and is no longer availalble." I said, "It was suppose to come out in 2001 and was never released, it's due out today but as usually it will be two weeks before Best Buy gets it in."

I went home and order it from Deepdiscount, had it in 5 days.

I've confirmed that Soylent Green is in stock at some Best Buy's, but not all of them. Borders tends to have them in stock, as does Circuit City.

Omega Man I had no luck finding at any store whatsoever...until I found it for list price ($19.98) at Suncoast. Great DVD, I'm glad I could enjoy it. I hate paying list price, but this one was worth it.

Great double-feature.
