Galaxy Quest-- review clarification???

The reviewer for this title does not supply an email address, so I pose this question here.....

This review on DVDfile states: "There is an additional English 2.0 surround track provided, along with English Closed Captioning and English Subtitles."

Are you ABSOLUTELY SURE that DreamWorks has finally wised up and included Closed Captions (Which I prefer) alongside "english Subtitles" (which I despise)???

None of their exisiting titles have Closed Captions, has DW gotten smarter, or has the reviewer misidentifed the supplements???

This 'feature' is the difference between buying and not buying this title for me.

Yes. I've heard this from DreamWorks directly. All their releases will include CC from now on, as a result of requests they received via the HTF. (The reason they didn't have them before was simply not realizing the importance to some people, since there's a common misperception that CC and subtitles are the same thing.)

hot damn!

I was one of the people bitching loudly about this, and I even sent off actual USPS letters. (Though, I never got a response).

Hopefully this decision wil be carried out at Universal too? yes?

I will actually START to replace my vhs universal/DreamWorks catalogue titles if they make the new/ re-issue dvds with closed captions. The non-cc titles will not get my cash.

Check out this thread over at HTF. There is a description of the differences, as well as a few pics.
