Tombstone & Young Guns

Does anyone know if a special edition of these movies plan to be released? I would really like to see them released with 5.1!

Nope, I liked Tombstone but I really liked Young Guns more. Young Guns is a pretty good disc. The sound is surprisingly good for pro-logic, and Young Guns 2 has 5.1 sound, but its not all that good, but it still sounds really good, its just no Starship Troopers

Unfortunate. I like both of these films a lot, but will stick with my S.E. laserdisc of Tombstone since it has audio and video commentaries by Cosmatos and outtakes - something missing on the DVD. I will, however, buy Young Guns.

Yea, too bad the Tombstone DVD lacks the impactful sound of the laserdisc's PCM tracks, and wasn't an anomorphic transfer. Otherwise, one of the best Western films ever made. Val Kilmer is superb as Doc Holiday...and K. Rusell kicks major butt as Wyat Earp...and the whole cast fits like a glove!

This one needs a whole new HD transfer with a carefully reworked 5.1 track...perhaps in DTS...
