I remember reading not too long back that Platoon and The Best Years of Our Lives were going to be re-released, I believe by a different studio. Does anyone remember this? I'm trying to find more info on it, so any help would be appreciated.

I know MGM is re-releasing the "Platoon: Special Edition" on DVD, I also think they're the ones who are re-releasing "The Best Years Of Our Lives" on DVD too.

Didn't the story go that the new version of Platoon was going to have a new transfer? Or am I thinking of Fargo...?

All these titles changing hands- gets confusing....

Either way, my hope is that Best Years will be RSDL, and not a flipper like the current version. Keep my fingers crossed.
