El Mariachi / Desperado 2 Pack - DVDfile.com forum for DVD, Blu-Ray, and HD-DVD

Hey Fellas,

Is this 2 individual discs in amaray casing, surrounded by a box like Trois Coleurs Set, or in a fold out card board casing, 2 disc sets of Pulp Fiction / Jackie Brown etc.

Anyone know if it is RCE??

Currently own the flipper setup of these films, and contemplating ditching it for the 2 pack or El Mariachi individually and getting Desperado on Super Bit..

The UK R2 version I have of this has El Mariachi and its extras on one side and then Desperado and its extras on the other.

I'd get the desperado superbit, but keep your flipper. Mariachi isnt any different on the new version. Also I believe it's just an outer box for the set:

Each film is in an amaray case, inside a box that isn't that easy to open.

I've been looking EVERYWHERE for this set. Anyone know where to find it at a store not online? I've checked Best Buy, Borders, and 2 Fry's electronics.

Yeah I went the SuperBit for Desperado, and I'll still ship in the El Mariachi. Although the same stuff on it, the double sided disc annoys me.

Although if I did keep it, would still have the SF of Desperado which I never watched in the 3 years I've had it - so yeah no real point.

I wander if we really watch the SF as often as we think we do.

Damn, I'd buy that for the box alone!
Though I think I'll end up waiting for an 'El Mariachi Trilogy' box set you just KNOW they'll release.

I found several copies of the boxed set at my local Best Buy for $20 (right next to the individual copies of Desperado for $15...

). And I agree that, while nice to look at, it's ridiculously difficult to open the box to remove the keep cases within. They should have just kept one side open to easily slide the discs out. Oh well, petty complaint considering the price.

Oh and at the Borders I went to they had the double feature thing with desperado and el mariachi in one case for.....$43!!
