Mr. Show, Season 3 - Viewing order - does it matter?

Right now, I have Mr. Show season 3 in my Netflix queue. Disc one is listed as having a VERY LONG WAIT. Will it matter if I watch disc 2 first? Any running jokes that start in the first few episodes or can I just start anywhere? Thanks.

Start anywhere. Actually, start with the 'Fantastic Newness' bonus feature, which shold have been on the first set between season 1 & 2, then watch the skits in whatever order.

Maybe the reason why there is such a long wait for disc 1 is because they put two of them in some boxes instead of one disc 1 and one disc 2 (like what happened to me), and those disc 1's have to be sent back to the distributor. Then again, they probably would've doubled up on the disc 2's just as much as the disc 1's, assuming they manufactured the same number of each.

Oh, and wouldn't you know it? When I went to exchange my copy for an unopened one (hopefully with one of each disc this time), they had just sold the last one and I have to wait until they get more in. The guy who worked there said it happened to other people too.

I don't know about disc 2 obviously, but disc 1 has some material you've already seen if you watched "The Best of Mr. Show" on the first set: Druggachusettes, Fuzz with Ronnie Dobbs, Cock Ring Warehouse, etc.

I say go with disc 2, it has some of my favorite sketches and therefore you just KNOW it's got to be good.

Actually, it had a few episodes I hadn't seen, the sketch where David Cross plays a guy hosting a talk show which is taped a week in advance, so everyone calling in to talk about the previous week's topic absolutely BLEW MY MIND.

I thought about it for an hour straight.

Plus everyone loves the sketch 'A trip up my mom's ass'!

Thanks for the replys. Looks like i'll be ok watching disc 2 first. However, Netflix skipped disc 2 and went to the next disc in my queue. Maybe if you have a multi disc series they are smart enough to not send you the 2nd disc if you haven't seen the first. That's cool. First i'd noticed that...
