Buy ASAP:
Carlito's Way: CE

Buy eventually:
Once Were Warriors
The Breakfast Club (perhaps the box set with the other 2 movies)
Saved by the Bell: Volume 1: Seasons 1 & 2 (yup)
Angel: The Complete Second Season - don't have Season 1 yet though... maybe when I'm rich.

Rent:
Identity (maybe)
..."It's Pat" might be a good guilty pleasure rent sometime (?)

Avoid at all costs:
A Man Apart

Worth noting:
The Ghost and Mr. Chicken - while I won't be buying it, Don Knotts is never not funny. This movie was pretty fun.

I'll be getting Identity, Monty Python's The Meaning of Life (Special Edition), Weird Science. Maybe Alias . I've not seen the show, but I like J Garner.

To everybody picking up the John Hughes boxset, I can't recommend 'Three O'Clock High' enough. Truly an amazing 80s teen comedy that somehow slipped under the radar. Check it out!

And is anybody else as shocked as I am that they're putting 'MTV Cribs' out on DVD? Who's demanding this? Masochistic 15-year-olds who want to pay even *more* to see how much better the drummer from Limp Bizkit lives than they ever will? I know every time *I* happen to be flipping through the channels and see some talentless hack showing off the seventh Hummer that they bought this week, I wanna reach for the fucking bottle.

Carlito's Way is the only must-have title this week ("You think you're big time? You're gonna DIE fuckin' big time!"). If Alias season one is cheap enough, I may be tempted to check it out. I've seen a handful of season two eps and enjoyed them, but I couldn't follow the labyrinthe plotlines. Jennifer Garner is a cutie, though.

Cribs

You know what I'd love to see again though? MTV ran a special on Snoop Dogg way, way back... before Cribs was a show. Snoop just moved into a mansion and the MTV cameras were there hanging out with him at his place. Talk about a scene straight out of BIG! He's got this huge, amazing house.... NO funiture, big ass TV & Playstation, some shitty, wrinkled posters TACKED crookedly on the walls. Oh hell, it was a riot!!! Now THAT I could watch again.

A Week of Comedy!

John Hughes Boxset (Although it sucks they didn't even try to do extras)
Monty Python's Meaning of Life (Goodbye bare bones!)
Spike and Mike's Animation Festival

As far as the Cribs shows - I don't care who has what, but I wish they did follow-ups showing rap and pop performers after they sold most of the stuff they bought with their advance checks when that second album never charted.

"Yeah - and this is my bad ride right here, y'all. '94 Civic loaded, 'cept the sunroof don't open. Two more payments and it's mine, then I can start saving up for a paint job. Check it out! You can buy my 2000 VMA award on eBay right now!"

And George McFly - are you planning on calling in sick the next 7 days or something?
