Lion King DTS?

I searched for this and probably missed it, but I did try

I thought the R1 LION KING had DTS. The Disney site boasts a "DISNEY 5.1 HOME THEATRE MIX". whatever that is, but no DTS. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

thanks

There will be no dts on the R1 release of Lion King. The Digital Bits attended a press event and heard some of the "enhanced home theater" audio track, and they were VERY impressed! We're talking demo material...

That looks like an asian bootleg (ie star wars).

I hope the DISNEY mix is as good as they say.

Maybe I'm naive, but it seems like an awfully nice site (and great looking packaging) for a bootleg. It said D9 disc in a few of the sites that pulled up this DTS Lion King. Anyone know what D9 means?

You ARE naive, unfortunately (but a nice guy nonetheless ). This gives it away as a bootleg --

Quote:
Subtitles : English, Chinese, Thai, Bahasa (Close Captioned)
Bahasa (I had to look it up) is the native Indonesian language. Feel free to check with Disney for verification, but my money's on it being a bootleg. Southeast Asia is Movie Piracy Central, particularly when it comes to American movies. The fact that they're ADVERTISING that the disc is a DVD-9 disc indicates that they want you to know what type of DVD disc was used to.....(take a wild guess). They also sell VCDs, which are a popular media for pirated movies.

So it's a nicely designed website. Big deal. Good web design isn't just an American or British phenomenon.

I'd say keep your money until official versions are released.
