Wiseguy box set question
I don't know if anyone here has bought this set yet...
Can anyone who's actually seen it tell me if "Nights in White Satin" and "Good Love" were removed from the final scene in the last episode? Sonny sings along to Good Love while trashing the place so I'm wondering how the heck they could have removed/changed it. And White Satin was even more powerful. Please give any details you can as far as how these were changed. Thanks! |

For those who have not seen this series, but have bought the box set, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT !! read the insert that accompanies this set. It gives away MAJOR plot points and it will ruin it for you ....
DO NOT READ THE INSERT !!! Thankfully, I have already seen this show, so I was not affected. Though I did forget some things, and was kinda bummed that they refreshed my memory before seeing the episodes !! |

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me what they did...
May sound silly, but it's important to me because I felt it was the most powerful moment in the entire series, and it's torn me up knowing it's not the same I know it's wrong to say this, but my respect for the Moody Blues just dropped like a brick. They should have appreciated what impact their song had and been nice about letting it stay in.Last edited by gachamann : 08-31-2003 at 04:57 AM. |

I watched the end of the series to see what had changed, there didn't appear to be any music during the final scene, or if there was, it was very low and didn't have an impact on the scene at all.
I have to admit, without that song, the scene definitely lost it's impact. Maybe I will feel differently when I watch the series in it's entirety again, but not now. I was surprised though, as old as the series is, I thought it held up VERY well. I can't wait to sit down and watch the whole thing. I also listened to some of the Ken Wahl commentary and that was good as well. The gag reel on disc 4 was amusing and contained a few outtakes from the Mel Profitt, Kevin Spacey, arc. |
