Cardboard Cases

If you get a free or bonus DVD in a small cardboard case (for example the 24 prieveiw disc at Best Buy) do you keep it in that cardboard case or do you put it in a keepcase?

I have a very nice cover maker on my PC. Sometimes I'll make a special cover for them useing my photoshop skills
For example, I got a DVD of all the matrix reloaded trailers and I made a really nice cover and insert for that.

Does anyone here put their promo or bonus DVDs in jewel cases? Piratehunter where did you get that DVD of all the Matrix Reloaded trailers? It sounds like a cool DVD.

My rule is if the promo DVD's cardboard case has a spine with a title on it I keep it in its original case. But if the promo DVD's cardboard case doesn't have a title on the spine or if it doesn't even have a spine at all I put the disc in a jewel case and keep or throw out the original cardboard case. Anyone else do this?

I usually keep them in the carboard slip that they come in. Sometimes though I will throw them in a jewel case and put apart the cardboard thingy and place it in the jewel case.

I'll have to do something with the 24 disc. You have to hack up the back for the $5-$10 rebate for buying the season sets. Usually I just keep them in their original case. Like the South Park Pilot that came with Season 2 at Best Buy, I keep it in the case, but I've also slipped it in between the slipcase and disc holder for the season set.

The only thing like that I ever kept was the first Total Movie disc with the Troops short film on it... I made a cool little "Troops" cover and put it in a keepcase...

Yes, that is the one.

It came packaged with the first issue of the very cool Total Movie magazine. Each magazine had a DVD with it that included trailers, some of the special features found on new release DVDs, shorts, and in the last few issues, the flip-side had a full-length movie. Again, great magazine, but they couldn't run a business very well. The magazine actually 'died' twice. The second time about a month after I sent my money for a subscription.

Yeah, the same thing happened to me, Lar. At least I did get my 40 movie DVD pack from them before they went under permanently. I saw that Cinescape was honoring any remaining subscriptions from Total Movie, but they "couldn't find mine." Whatever.
