Something that's bothering me about Simpsnos season 3..

Why is there only like 2 or 3 speical features on the menu, and the rest hidden!?

It says that there should be a Simpsons character poster on disc three. I have that on right now and there's no stupid poster. it also says there's sa baby translator. Where is that!?!

Also, when trying to put in an easter egg code on disc 4. (7, 4 ,2) it keeps taking me to the speical features menu before i can put the whole code in!

What's the point of putting special features on a disc if you can't even FIND them? This isn't some videogame where you use cheat codes. This is a DVD. >>

I haven't bought the Simpsons S3 dvd, but I agree. Easter eggs are stupid, all the features should be accessible from the menus.

Easter eggs can be good, like the Spider-Man one on the original X-Men DVD, but sometimes they get carried away, like with these Simpsons releases, or the original cut of Terminator 2...

what's the Spider man one on Xmen? I'm not good at finding Eggs because I never think to look for them. It's probably why I still haven't gotten to see any bonus features on my Memento:LE. I find that disc nothing but frustrasting.

Ditto on Memento, and the Spider-Man one was a dude in a Spider-Man outfit jumping on screen and everyone laughing. I forget how you get it, and I can't see it anymore anyway because I ebay'd the original disc when I got 1.5...

What bothers me about season 3 is that all of the menus are totally black (aside from the main one). This is a big jump from season 2 which had full motion menus(and beautiful ones at that) for ever page. Is my copy just messed up, or does everybody else have this too?

No, that's how it is, and I was pissed as well... I don't see why they couldn't do the same thing as the others, a little episode image or something... silly.

The menus for Seasons 1 and 2 were horrible.

Sure they looked nice, but who cares? They were horribly inefficient. Having to hit the enter key three times just to get to the main menu was a joke in season 2. I'm glad they went with a much better laid out menu scheme with a Play All function.

I think the point is that when you get to the episode's menu, it's all black... why not have a little image from the ep in the backround? Couldn't possibly be that hard...

you could just hit the menu button, and it would get right to the episode list.

It involves highlighting a rose in a background and pressing enter.

The All Black Menus for Season 3 are gross. It's creepy and boring. A simple still or artwork from the episode would have been 1000x better.

I wish they would have just picked one or the other for the menus.

Either have moving menus that are elaborate and colorful, or having boring menus that are static and quick.

The way it is now, it just takes long enough to wait for the text to drop down to be annoying when you're trying to navigate quickly through the menus to look for all of their frickin' easter eggs...

Since the easter egg numbers that have worked so far are important Simpsons number:

84763: the number on the register when Maggie "rang up" in the grocery store and "742" being the street number of the Simpsons homes,
here's some other numbers I've found that have been on the Simpsons.

I'm going to try them tonight if I get a chance, but thought others might be bored and want to try some too:

X-Men: Access The Egg

The first is found in the trailer and TV spot section. Move the cursor to select the Rose pattern in the background. This will take you to a short clip with another Marvel superheroes cameo.

The second is found in the Art gallery. Select the Wolverine Dogtag. This is a small gallery of sketches for 2 characters that were not used in the movie, but possibly in a sequel.

Memento:LE: Access The Egg

Five Easter Eggs, including the special chronological version of the movie (these are the easiest ways to get to them): First, before you get to the easter eggs, you need to know how to get to the REGULAR special features. It's fairly easy, just select one of the following pictures, and keep selecting choice "c" on each question until you get to the feature. The question JUST before you get to the feature will always have an "exit" choice at the bottom left corner of the screen, and usually play music in the background. All of these are on the second disc. Anatomy Of A Scene-Sundance Featurette: Skull Shooting Script: Book Trailers: Binoculars International Art Campaign: Globe Production Stills & Sketches: Compass Original Short Story: Clock, then when you get to the 6th and final question (put the pictures in chronological order), select the following pictures: 2nd, 1st, 4th then 3rd. (1) As i'm sure you can guess, that's also how you choose to watch the movie in its chornological order. When you take the clock path to the 6th question, just put the pictures in their REVERSE chronological order (3rd, 4th, 1st then 2nd). It begins with the end credits running backwards. (2) Bootleg Art: Take the Skull path until you get to the 3rd question ("what is missing"). Choose "e", then choose "d" on the next screen. (3) Concept art: Take the Binoculars path until you get to the 5th question ("which switches"), choose "c" to get to the Trailers options like you normally would, but instead of choosing "a" or "b" for a trailer option, choose ANY of the other choices to get to the next question. On the question where you're asked which choice means "empty", choose "a". (4) Journal: Take the Compas path until you get to the 4th question, and select "c" to get to the Production Stills like you normally would. After either cycling through them or choosing "exit", choose "c" on the chair question ("which best represents your choice?"). (5) DVD Credits: Take the Clock path until you get to the 5th question ("why are they laughing at you?"). Choose "d".
