The Movie Ants
Can anyone tell me if this is a good movie or is it just a competitive rip-off of A Bug's Life? How is the dts track?

I give both Antz and A Bug's Life
Antz is geared more towards mature audiences, however, with some mild profanity and violence and a more "talky" screenplay, as opposed to the non-stop action setpieces of A Bug's Life. Plus, Antz features one of the best voice casts ever assembled for an animated film. Woody Allen, Gene Hackman, Sharon Stone, Christopher Walken, Jennifer Lopez, Sylvester Stallone, Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtain... ![]()

I seem to be the only person who didn't like Ants.
I felt that it lacked the charm and charisma of A Bug's Life (if we have to compare them). The voice acting seemed disjointed from the characters (something I notice most non-pixar, non-disney companies have problems with), like the characters were all already animated before they even knew who was voicing them (which I'm sure was not the case, but it still felt like that to me). The character designs were also freaky german-expressionist bugs that just creeped me out from start to finish. I also have a very low tolerance for Woody Allen's line deliveries and self-deprecation, so his character annoyed me from the get-go. I never want to see this movie again. Just my two cents.
