Yes, it's been talked about, but I don't recall if I saw the discussion here or at DVDTalk or at HTF. Probably all three.

Eddie Murphy owns 100% of the rights to both of these, and because he's a family man now he no longer wants the to get out to the public so his kids will see them. Seriously.

It kills me to be the one to tell you that, because I probably want them worse than you do. Well, that would be hard to compare, but let's just say I want them really really really badly.

But I've written them off; they will probably never surface in a legit release.

Wow, I did not know that. I was going to say maybe he would release them after his kids are grown up. But seeing as how his youngest child is only 3, we'd have to wait until 2018! I also hope he changes his mind.

I believe you when you say that's the reason, but I have to comment that I think that that is such an unmitigated crock of horseshit for Murphy to pull that tired old "oh I have kids now, I have to eschew my wild youthful past" (hey, he got caught giving a Santa Monica Blvd tranny "a ride" after he was a so-called family man, too, what about that?).

It's the same bullshit thinking behind Greedo shooting first and FBI agents armed to the teeth with walkie-talkies. Frankly, if your kids ask questions, that's your fucking job as a parent, to answer those questions, and show them both sides of the argument when it comes to behaving a certain way. It's hypocritical, it's wrong, it's lying to your kids, and it's basically saying that your kids are incapable of handling it, which is insulting to them as well as to us. It's the usual bullshit about "image" being more important than substance.

HEY, MURPHY, if you didn't want your kids emulating your behavior from the 1980s, maybe you should have fucking THOUGHT ABOUT THAT back when you opened your big fat fucking mouth in the 80s! Don't pull that holier-than-thou parent routine with us, cuz we know it's bullshit, and we'll tell OUR kids that it's bullshit, and everybody will laugh at your kids for being such gullible little simps for having a father like YOU!

What I don't get is this -- if the Delirious and Raw routines are so horrible that he's preventing the public from obtaining them using HIS KIDS as an excuse, then what's the fuckin' deal with "Nutty Professor 2: The Klumps", and all its disgusting bathroom and locker room humor?

Oh, yes, deny us Delirious and Raw, but leave behind a true legacy like Pluto Nash and Golden Child. Right-o.

papibear: you put it in stronger terms than I would have used, but other than that I agree with 100% of what you said about the situation. Right down to the tranny!

Considering the first part of Delirious is titled "Faggots," I'm pretty sure it won't be getting released any time soon.
