Poor sales; I don't anticipate Columbia bringing any more of these out unless Garry Shandling has a big event (new movie or TV show) to tie a marketing push into. Right or wrong, that's apparently the way Columbia thinks.

Quit thread-farting. I don't come and dump all over the things you want. It's all in the matter of different tastes. Personally I'd give up every John Carpenter film on DVD - forever - in order to get more Larry Sanders. Definately a personal choice. Definately. |

I loved this show, and I was thrilled when the first season was released on DVD. Unfortunately, during the first season they were still searching for their tone and finding their footing. Once Sanders got rolling, it was easily one of the funniest shows on TV. Unlike a lot of HBO's programming, I haven't seen every episode of this show a thousand times and would whole-heartedly welcome further DVD releases. Unfortunately I have to concur with Uni, that sales were weak and demand was low for this set. They have certainly lost any chance at momentum and another season release would have to start the ball rolling all over again. I think they lack the heart to put forth the effort, and as Uni said, unless something happens with Shandling shortly (unlikely after Town And Country), we aren't going to be seeing this on disc for quite some time.

I never bought season one because I could never find it for less than $60, and I'm not paying that much for 20 eps of a 20 minute comedy with (from what I heard) shitty video.
I'd rather have Dream On! anyway :p |

Not to mention the other things cut for Bravo. I never had a problem with the video quality on the discs... seemed just as good as my normal HBO feed. As for suppliments, it's not as if HBO spoils us with them on any other sets so why start now?
