Princess Mononoke DVD, what the hell?

OK, I really need to know what's going on with this thing. Here's what I've read concerning release dates:

BUY.com --> 12/26/00
bigstar.com --> 07/11/00
Reel.com --> 06/13/00
Express.com --> no release date known
Amazon.com --> 01/01/01

I really like this movie so I'm a little frustrated by these contradictory release dates. Bigstar, Express, and Amazon all seem to have the cover art and report that the disk will be anamorphic. However, only Bigstar states that it will have both the English dub and Japanese original language tracks. AHHHH!

It was in US theaters for about a month and has been out in Japan since 1997. Not only that but this is a Miramax disk which means that they might release a Special Edition a couple months after. Anyone, anything?

This is from The Digital Bits Rumor mill from April 4th:

More titles will be added. In addition, Annie and Life-Size have replaced The Straight Story and Princess Mononoke in the May lineup - the delayed titles are now expected in June or July (unofficially, the additional time is needed to allow more extras to be included).

That's all I know about it.

Mononoke has been confirmed for a August 8th, 2000 release date. And that's final!
