I've used Spun.com -- which has a "trade-in" program. Unfortunately, they've sent me the wrong dvd set once, a disc was sent off the spindle and was very scratched up, and I've been sent a defective disc (Though this one was unlikely their fault). Considering each of those happened in 3 seperate orders, I don't believe I'll be doing business with them much in the future.
Though I have had some pleasurable experiences selling DVDs via half.com.

If you'd rather sell to other collectors, you can try www.dvdtalk.com and go to the DVD Exchange section of the message boards. I just sold a few DVDs that I had two of, and it was a great sale.

Far and away my most pleasant DVD selling experience has been with Amazon.com. It's fantastic. Unlike eBay, you don't need to create elaborate listings for each item. You just find the item on Amazon and tell it you have one to sell. You determine a price and then it goes on sale. Amazon collects the money, takes their cut, and then deposits the dough in your bank account. How easy is that? The best thing is not having to deal with collecting money.

I've sold dozens (possibly hundreds) of DVD's using ebay and half.com, 95 percent without problem. Occasionally, I get the moron who felt like bidding and not paying, but eBay refunds your listing price if that happens.
eBay has been listening to people like Mur, as they are starting an auto-listing feature for items like dvd's (where you simply select the movie title, cover art, and eBay automatically creates the listing). Couldn't be easier. The reason I stick with eBay is because there are some incredible idiots out there, that will gladly pay retail for a used DVD - and I more than happy to oblige... ![]()
