Didn't get to see this in the theater, so I'm getting this one on DVD. I love

that they are using the theatrical poster for the cover art too.

I haven't seen it yet, but it's still in theatres so I'll see it this week.

I'm really excited about this fast turnover rate. The release of the DVD being only 4 months from it's theatrical release. This bodes well for the DVD market. (And maybe not so well for theatres, which is fine with me).

The movie wasn't that bad....Would have been a lot better if whoever was responible for hiring the actor who played Kraven was shot before they had a chance to hire him..IMO

I always find it fascinating when a DVD comes out, and new spins/opinions/criticism are put on films.
I'm not saying that's the case here. Yet.
But there is a quite-recent thread in Now Playing that talks about the movie much more in depth than most DVD-release threads go into.

Well I think it's rather understandable because when a DVD is announced, people (here at least) just like to chime in saying whether they're getting it or not. It would be kind of tedious to attach their little review along with that.
I think people talk about the movies more in depth in Now Playing because they've often just recently gotten back from seeing it.

I'll go ahead and say that at least some one attempted to take the Vampire and Werewolf genre and do something different. The movie had a distinct "White Wolf" flair to it, and was quite entertaining. Oh, and I agree that a much better choice could have been picked for Kraven. He stood out like a sore thumb against the other actors.

I for one will be happy to pick this one up on 1/6.

Now that was a good flick! I watched the DVD last night and had to turn the volume down A LOT from the level I normally watch my movies. It's loud and the LFE was actually pretty impressive. The picture quality was great and I have a soft spot for any 'vampire' movie that tries to do something different. Even though Dracula 2000 was nothing more than a Virgin Records advertisement, the vampire explanation was pretty cool.

Of course, it IS hard to go wrong with Kate Beckinsale in black leather and boots! I brought the DVD into work today so I can watch the extras while on my lunch break.

A worthy addition to my collection.

Yea but you can go wrong with a DVD. This is missing the best fucking TEASER TRAILER of 2003. Big thumbs down there, now I can't delete my Kazaa'd version.

I'm not that hardcore about things. I have never bought or not bought a DVD because of a trailer, something I may watch once. I know a lot of people love them, but it's never been a deciding factor for me. I remember the uproar over the spiderman trailer but things like that just don't bother me all that much. Disappointed, sure, but not as much as if it was only released pan and scan.

I enjoyed Underworld at the theaters, but I like it even better on DVD. Kraven is about the only aspect of the movie that I actually can't stand. Everything else is either great, good, or serviceable. Kate is, of course, delicious as Selena, and I would give quite a bit to have my way with her in the outfit. She actually makes goth look sexy.

Anyway, good buy, and a good movie. Not as good as Blade 2, but better than Blade 1.

I wonder why they put the full trailer on and not the teaser?

I thought Underworld was an enjoyable film, it wasn't perfect, but neither are most films in this genre...

I thought Selene, Viktor and Lucian had great performances... Kraven was terrible and I don't know why he's in the film...the guy is a bad actor plain and simple.

I watched the special features and thought it was great that the director wanted to go back to the man in suit for the werewolves, it really made the creatures look real and as if they we really apart of the film. There is just way too much fake looking CGI in films today (Gollum being an exception)... It was a breath of fresh air to see them hand make these suits and nit the hair into the werewolves....Loved it!

I'm typically not, I just REALLY love THAT PARTICULAR trailer. It is what made me really want to see the movie and I hope that it gets released on another DVD, because I will buy it just for that.

Nevertheless it is nice to see the RE2 trailer included, as Underworld is the movie it was attached to.

Funny - when I saw him onscreen, and heard his voice I said "Whoa! Where the fuck did they get a guy with THAT deep of voice to play a monster in the film?"
