Matrix: Reloaded DVD Thoughts?
Nobody is talking about this yet?
![]() Last night was the first time I saw it. I REALLY enjoyed the movie. I thought it was a perfect bridge between beginning and end. (Like Empire was in the original Star Wars trilogy) Really expanded on the charactors and what's going on with the fight. I know when it first hit theaters a lot of people said there was too much slow motion and I think I'll have to agree. Not so much to where it's totally boring, but just too much to where it looses it's coolness. Lots of great action sequences and of course awsome special effects. I haven't watched disc 2 yet but I'm expecting some pretty awsome features. Any other thoughts? |

I checked out the "Preload" and "The Freeway Chase" docs last night, and they were pretty damn cool. The planning and logistics that went into the freeway chase was absolutely mindblowing. The "Preload" one was good, but it was a bit heavy on the whole "wow, look at what geniuses the Wachowski's are" bit. Sure, they're created something amazing and gorgeous, but I hate when Hollywood types start slapping each other on the backs too much. Seems fake to me.
Anyway, a nice 2-disc set (3, if you got the bonus disc at Best Buy -- which totally sucks, since it's just got shit on there that's on other Matrix discs)!

I agree. The movie was excellent. The disc is anemic but there's little question that Warner is holding off until they can release a box set of all three films. I'm fine with that. In this case a double dip is no problem IMO.
