The Fly buzzes in this Sept., but where's the 5.1?

I read today that Fox is releasing a double feature disc of the THE FLY and THE FLY II (I'm speaking of the the remakes, of course.)In the press release that this site spoke of, it stated that the disc will only feature a Dolby 2.1 surround track. Well, just to let all of you know, I've got a DIVX player, and one of the discs I had was in fact THE FLY, which featured a really good DD 5.1 track!!! If this is true about the release this fall, I'm going to be very disappointed since I know that a 5.1 track exists for the film!!!

Well, you know, the first step to recovery is to admit you have a problem. I think everyone on this forum needs to give their support to kermit and to see the rehab through

Sorry, got in another one of my moods again.

So far, The Fox SE's have been just incredible. They seem to have done a complete about face concerning DVD. Where did you read this. Remember that DVD features change almost as fast as the weather in Texas, so a 5.1 soundtrack may be in the lineup before the release.

BTW, seems my username came up MIA with some of those DVD titles. Satan, (or any other moderator) Can you confirm if j70chlngr has been lost, or did I get into trouble?

j, you should be able to re-register with your old username. We had a glitch with the new forum registration system. Sorry.

I wonder why FOX is not giving The Fly a new English 5.1 mix (for 1986 version)... with all their new SEs, you think FOX would remix the sound for this DVD.

Oh by the way, I've went from Actor to Supporting Actors in matter of days...

Personally, I'd prefer the original soundtrack as opposed to a remix. The original should always be on a DVD first and foremost.
