Five MGM Catalog Titles Coming To DVD Next Year

For those who have been waiting for Marilyn Monroe on DVD, keep an eye out next year for Some Like It Hot and The Misfits. In tonight's HTF/MGM Chat, MGM revealed that they are slated for DVD release sometime in 2001. Three other titles to look for are The Apartment, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, and Mulholland Falls.

I believe "When Harry Met Sally" is coming as well.

Count me in for Some Like it Hot and The Apartment. I've been wondering when in the hell we'd get those two. SLIH was one of the first titles MGM ever announced, back in, what, '97? Think it's taking 'em long enough?

I can only hope they do a new anamorphic transfer of Bill & Ted's...I haven't seen this movie since our vhs copy had a meltdown, and it's one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

Anamorphic transfer and commentary by George Carlin and Keanu(sp) Reeves...could be a hoot!

Don't feel guilty about liking Bill and Ted.

Dissapointed no word on Tony Scott's THE HUNGER. Brother Ridley gets all the attention, but MGM has always treated this cult film well, with various letterbox releases. Maybe next year.
