The Poseidon Adventure (1972)
The Towering Inferno (1974)
Airport (1970)
Airport '75 (1974)
Airport '77 (1977)
The China Syndrome (1979)
The Omen (1976)
The Out-Of-Towners (1970)

Soylent Green (1973)
The Omega Man (1971)

There were sooo many classics released during that era...kinda makes me depressed about the majority of studio releases now- its all big budget adaptations of comic books and unnecessary remakes...what ever happened to the kind of subtle, nuanced character studies that used to be made during Hollywood's second golden era? Its sad...and my other beef is that Paramount, which owns a good chunk of these 70's classics, is releasing all of ones not produced by robert evans as pricey bare boned editions, although they usually have solid transfers...a lot of em don't even have the preview! What the hell is wrong with paramount??? they really get my goat..unless evan's was involved, its almost like the just don't care
