Your 60's favorite , best right here

Even though I argue some things with posters here , everyone here has really good taste in films

since I'm revamping the collection i'm shooting for the best of the best here

so give me 10 (and why-if you want)

Well, let's see, just going year by year (and available on DVD only) --

1. Psycho (1960)
2. The Guns of Navarone (1961)
3. To Kill A Mockingbird (1962)
4. It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1963)
5. A Hard Day's Night (1964)
6. Doctor Zhivago (1965)
7. The Sand Pebbles (1966)
8. In The Heat of the Night (1967)
9. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
10.Easy Rider (1969)

It's hard, because there were SO MANY good films to come out of the Sixties.

Here's an alternate list:

1. The Apartment (1960)
2. The Hustler (1961)
3. Lawrence of Arabia (1962)
4. The Birds (1963)
5. Dr. Strangelove, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)
6. Ship of Fools (1965) {arriving on DVD 12/2/03}
7. Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (1966)
8. In Cold Blood (1967)
9. The Producers (1968)
10.Midnight Cowboy (1969)

I'm sure I'm leaving out somebody's favorite.

Well, papibear's list, as always, is fantastic, but I'll throw out a list for you. By no means is this a comprehensive list. Rather, it's a list of great movies from the '60s that I like.

To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
Bonnie and Clyde (1967)
The Great Escape (1963)

The Lion in Winter (1968)
The Hustler (1961)
The Apartment (1960)

Cat On A Hot Tin Roof was from 1958, Enrique. Did you mean maybe the OTHER Elizabeth Taylor movie, BUtterfield 8 (1960)?

The other 14 are all great titles, though!
