thought now that MGM had the rights back they would be issuing the directors cut in a SE -anyone aware of its status?

I purty sure criterion (glad i got the cc disk!) owns the rights to the extreme violence in the scenes cut from the mgm version.
I wanna know if theres gonna be a re-release of robo 2 and 3.

I believe the R2 MGM release has the cut footage, so hopefully we will get it here as well. A Robocop SE has been rumored for a long time, and I've been holding out...

I saw the DC of Robocop once, just after getting my dvd player. Like a dummy, I never bothered to pick up the Criterion version. So maybe MGM will bow the DC here.

Thank god I picked up the CE one too. Cost me a arm and leg but it is well worth it.
