I doubt it will get re-released maybe in different packaging. Great movie though.

There's a special edition released in Region 3 in Korea, I believe. I know it's R3 but I'm sure if it's Korean. It's in English, though.

Highly doubt it.
The current edition, while not heavy on the extras, is one of the best looking and sounding DVDs I own. Well worth owning if you're a fan of the film.

But there does indeed exist that Region 3 edition with a couple extras that JFelix is talking about:

I also highly doubt there will be a special edition. It is a David Lynch film after all. He doesn't even allow chapter stops (very very annoying), let alone commentary or any extras.

As for the $10 price, go for it. Great movie. I bought it when it first came out and was (over)priced at $30.

Last I checked my copy of Blue Velvet had some VERY nice extras; the Twin Peaks: Season One set was very thorough; Eraserhead has a very lengthy discussion with Lynch; he personally released a exhaustive DVD of his short films; and he is currently supervising an SE for Wild At Heart for MGM.
Sure he doesn't always go to great lengths provide detailed extra content, but its great to have the editions of his films that are out there!

a SE of Wild At Heart? Woo-hoo!
I do agree about the lack of chapter stops in all his films- quite annoying, especially for Mulholland Drive.
BTW did you know that Universal originally had him tagged for "fast times at ridgemont high?" wonder how that would have turned out....

I have the Starmax R0 Korean DVD that's now OOP. It's so cool! It has chapter stops and extras!

Muholland Drive is defintly one great movie, and the sound and picture are defintly top notch. But, it's anoying that there are no chapter stops. While, I wish the DVD had more to it. But, the trailer and bio's are good. I'm going to be picking this up for $9.99, which is a great price and then if they do some day come out w/an SE it won't be bad double dipping on it.

$10 is a great price. I paid the "sale" price of $20 the day it was released and didn't even flinch! Great movie.

I liked it as well, but I'm ready to back it up and put chapter stops and menus in it. I hated it when Prince did this with his Lovesexy CD and I hate it just as much with a movie. Luckily, technology allows me to 'correct' what I don't like. We bought the movie, it's not like we're not going to watch the whole thing. I'm not a big fan of the captive audience feeling I get from watching a movie with no chapter stops.
