Bertolucci's "The Conformist"... Will We EVER See It on DVD
I love this film. To me, this is right up there with Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai", Hitchcock's "Psycho," Lean's "Lawrence Of Arabia" and Leone's "Once Upon A Time In The West."
Here's hoping... I ask every so often, because I would love to see this amazing film given the restoration, clean up and beautiful presentation it deserves, with a new transfer supervised by cinematographer Vittorio Storaro, ASC, AIC. Nicholas S. Folsom

Are You sure DVDs will survive till 2014? By the way, "The Conformist" has been released by Japanese company (R2 NTSC) with a solid good transfer. |

Hopefully it will be sooner than we all think. Our "local" (40 miles away
) arthouse showed a (supposedly) restored print a few months ago. I've been praying that this was part of some quiet build-up to a DVD release.
