Does Your Scarface Sound as Bad as Mine?
Sorry if this has been posted before, but I did a search and couldn't find anything.
Am I the only one whose Scarface sounds horribly cheap? It is by far the weakest sounding 5.1/dts disc I own. By a long shot. Everything is forced through the center. Anyone? |

My front 3 speakers are active. The rear speakers you get some sound effects and atmospheric music. You may want to check your player settings, amp setting and finally your connections.

Remember, this is a movie from 1983, and crime dramas don't generally require elaborate 5.1 sound designs in the first place. Of course it's not going to sound as "explosive" as today's sound mixes.

Mine is fine. It's not the best sounding (or looking for that matter) DVD in print. But hey, it's alot better than other DVD they had out. Also, I've noticed that the gun shots and such are not that good sounding in most old movies. So maybe you're just not use to the 'old-style action sounds'?
