Gone With the Wind

My wife is so sweet. For my birthday, she went and got me Gone With the Wind, which I'd never seen, only recently finished reading it. I had planned on researching to see if it was ready for purchase, but the edition that she bought sure seems ripe for reissue, especially considering that next year marks the movie's 75th anniversary. Anyone heard anything either confirming or denying this idea?

Seems this is indeed ripe for a redo.

There was a restoration that was done for the TCM channel, which I thought looked amazing, but apparently wasn't up to much (color was off).

So, anyway, yes, 75 next year - and there's that stunning 2-hour doc on the making narrated by Christopher Plummer. I expect the WB is eyeing this one up as we speak for a late 2004 issue.

Would be nice in a "Giant" type set (which, although only two discs, is kind of like a 3 set, as there is different content on each side).
