Rocky 3 cover request

Who here would like to step forward and advance the German-American relationship by doing me a major favor?

I desperately need a high-res (or better than shown below) scan of the US Rocky 3 cover. Please post or PM me for my email address, if you're interested in making me a very happy man...

Danke.

If you don't get one by tomorrow evening, I would be happy to scan it for you. My laptop drives my scanner quite well, but I left it at work.

Danke, dude. PM's on your way.

How do you say? "Give it up" for the most superb mainstream guilty pleasure movie (that includes the greatest studio-logo intro ever, no less) there is!

If you watch that scene closely, you'll see that Carl Weathers is slightly uncomfortable there himself.

God, what an awesome flick... Mr. "my prediction for the fight? Paaain" T, the classic title track, "Thunderlips" Hogan, the No Easy Way Out Lamborghini music clip sequence, that ratfaced cranker Burgess Meredith dying, Sly swimming butterfly... total insanity.

Rocky III is the ultimate sell-out movie(coming from the first two). It's also the ultimate guilty pleasure. THERE IS NO TOMORROW!

Considering Rocky 4 and Rambo 2 (not to mention Rambo 3) you can perhaps even say Stallone is the ultimate sell-out actor.

And believe it or not I have a buddy with whom I exchanged "THERE IS NO TOMORROW!" screams to pretty much every (motivational) occasion back in the day. And of course those were the pre-original-language-DVD-days and we went: "ES GIBT KEIN MORGEN! ES GIBT KEIN MORGEN!!"

Shit, you're right that's in IV. He is "just" driving a Maserati in III. Thanks...

I remember as a kid not really sure what this whole Cold War thing was about. I mean, didn't Russia have people like us, just happy doing their own thing?

that was before Rocky IV however... After seeing it I was able to realize that this was really a race of Scientifically Advanced Supermen (and they cheat too!) out to beat up all our vertically challenged fighters(who just like to keep it real... Sparring is so obviously for jerks-Chopping wood is where it's at...).

And really, is there a better diplomat out there than Rocky Balboa?- "Let's beat each other to bloody pulps... then I'll give a speech!" Love it.

Yep, Gorbatschow raising from his throne an clapping frenetically to Philly-philosopher Balboa is one of the high points in mainstream fun.

Kinda stange that it took another 6 years for the fall of Communism in Russia after Rocky IV.

That's one of the risks you take when your message is so subtle... takes awhile for the masses to absorb it.

Not really. Rocky IV was early in Gorby's reign. It took some time for the real man to see what his Hollywood counterpart did (especially after he saw what happened in the Frankie Goes To Hollywood Video), and then use that to start change in the Soviet Union. I'd say that six years was pretty good to bring down the Iron Curtain.

... or maybe the Russian release of Rocky IV was just in 1990?

That thought had occurred to me as well.

I wonder if there's a serious doctoral thesis out there which links the fall with Rocky IV, or maybe an online essay like this?....
