I think they figured since the original came out in 1968, most people have seen the movie so it didn't make a difference.

You must have to live in a friggen cave not to know the end of Planet of the Apes. I have not even seen the film but I know the end scene....
It is one of those scenes that have become ingrained in American Culture. Of cource if you have seen Space Balls you know the end as well. ![]() ------------------ David Brown Eyes Moderator of the Now Playing forum. |

As big a movie buff as I am, I am not aware that I know the ending. However, I may know the ending and just don't remember or didn't realize I knew.
And I haven't seen the cover art. Oh wait, does it have the Statue of Liberty head on the cover? If so, then yeah, I know the ending. DVDFile.Com Administrator TheGreatOne@DVDFile.com ------------------ Guns don’t kill people, O.J. kills people. |

.. and the fact that this DVD isn't anamorphic, could it maybe have something to do with the influence of the biggest bonehead in the DVD industry, Bill Mechanic, since the DVD surely was in production while he was still with Fox???
anyway, if this is Fox's last non-anamorphic DVD, it will still be a major boner (but hey, won't the last non-anamorphic DVD from a studio always be that???) 6·paq |

while we are on the topic of bonehead covers, i nonimate The Hudsucker Proxy.
this film did not come out in 1968 and has not been ingrained into american culture, yet a major plot point and something that keeps you guessing as to what the hell the main character is talking about throughout the entire movie is given away on the front of the VHS and DVD boxes. do the people who design these boxes not watch the films? the Cohen brother sure couldn't have signed off on the cover. i really reccomend seeing the film, its funny and fast paced with that twisted edge that the makers of Fargo add to a film, just dont look ot the box when picking it up! |
